Welcome to our Boarding and School Community. Narrogin Residential College is one of Western Australias largest co-educational boarding colleges. The College provides boarding for isolated secondary students who attend Narrogin Senior High School and C.Y.O'Connor Institute. We are a progressive college with country values and traditions who make it our mission to provide a safe, fun, supportive and caring envioronment for country boarders.
For a number of parents and more importantly students the prospect of having to board away from home can be a daunting one. That is why we offer trial boarding at the College. A weekend or two at the College can provide a great insite on what to expect as a boarder and to make that decision that much easier. Boarding is not for everyone, however, what you will find is that its a fantastic oportunity to make life long friends, easy access to high school and a chance to be part of a caring and active community.
In 2015 Yr 7 students will make the transition into mainstream high school. The College will likewise accommodate year 7 boarders on a formal basis. Parents who would like to make an expression of interest or who would like make an enrolment, in anticipation of the change over, are more than welcome to contact the College. With the broader age range in the boarding community the CHSHA and staff will ensure that boarding away from home a year younger, will be a well managed process.
The College offers casual or part-time / permanent boarding placements for when parents are requiring temprary accommodation for their son or daughter. Boarding fee charges are pro rata of the full boarding fee. We have had students stay with us due to their parents travel plans, moving house and locations, parents needing to work away from home, during exam times or due to having to stay in Narrogin overnight to attend school the next day. Students must adhere to all normal College rules and are cared for by the Supervisory staff. Contact the Manager for further details.
