The reason are many but usually its about being lonely, frustrated, unsure about an event or action or just feeling down. Don't worry, you are not alone. We hope that the suggestions and links below will help.
Who to go to for help or advice

  • Talk to a College staff member who you relate to the best
  • Talk to a student leader or older student
  • Talk to the school Psych or Chaplain
  • Talk to your parents or to an adult that you trust
  • Talk with a teacher at the school
When you feel you need to report something.
If there comes a time when you feel you have had something happen to you that you know or feel is wrong, possibly against the law or when you have been harmed by someone then you have a right to have what ever it is made right. Telling someone who can help you, be it a close friend, parents, the police, a relative, a teacher, a supervisor or a doctor can be the best way to have what ever its stopped and for you to be able to feel safe. At the College, you can report your concerns to a Supervisor or directly to the College Manager. You can also report a concern directly to the Country High School Hostels Authority on 92645434.

There may also be a time that you feel you have done something wrong or against the law and feel caught up in a very uncomfortable, difficult or emabarrasing situation and feel pressured or threatened by another person or others. Always remember you have rights, that what ever you feel you are doing wrong may not be as bad as what others may be doing to you. Go and tell someone. Getting through, what ever the situation is, will be far better than keeping things to yourself. Help is at hand.

If you feel that you are being bullied, then go to this site to see what this is all about. The best thing to do is to talk to a staff member so we can help to sort this all out.
The Kids Help line website can give you advice and a phone number where you can talk about anything that is on your mind in private.
We have all heard about it and in some instances been a victim of bullying through Facebook, email and text messaging. So here is some advice on dealing with this issue.
Beyond Blue can help answer why you might be feeling the way you do and can offer you advice on what to do about it.
